| ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT |
| We are a full service paid fire and rescue department. Midlego City Fire Department utilizes 11 Paramedic Engines, 3 ALS Ambulances, 5 Paramedic Truck companies, 1 Squad Truck, a Heavy Rescue Truck, and a deluge truck to protect a population of 120,000 residents and covers 102 square miles. The Fire Chief is responsible for 344 career members that include 132 Paramedics, 24 EMT-Intermediates, and 180 Basic Emergency Medical Technicians. We also have 140 Technical Rescue Technicians, as well as 334 Hazmat Technicians. |
